Xiaomi recalls certain su7 standard edition electric vehicles due to assisted driving collision risk

Chinese electric vehicle brand BYD, which formally entered the Korean market this January, is reshaping the local import car market landscape with an astonishing growth rate, surpassing Toyota and Audi within ten months to rank among the top six in import car sales. Initially met with skepticism, Chinese electric vehicles have now successfully penetrated the Korean market. According to data from the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association, BYD ranked sixth among import cars last month with sales of 824 units, surpassing Toyota (813 units) and Audi (689 units). This growth is mainly attributed to the continued strong sales of the mid-sized SUV "Sealion 7," which was launched in September and sold 513 units last month, ranking tenth in import car sales.

The United States Postal Service announced that starting November 15, the material of priority mail envelopes (including models such as EP14) will be changed from Tyvek to polyethylene plastic, while the size will remain the same. The transition is expected to be completed by December, and existing Tyvek envelopes will be sold until they are out of stock. This move aims to achieve a sustainable goal of 74% recycled content in packaging.

According to foreign media reports, BASF's fuming sulfuric acid production facility at its site in Antwerp, Germany, has been damaged, leading the company to announce issues with the production of polyamide 6 and 6/6.6 base polymers (Ultramid).®The supply of B and Ultramid® C, caprolactam, and ammonium sulfate has been affected by force majeure. Both the Antwerp and Ludwigshafen production sites are impacted. A BASF spokesperson stated, "Structural damage was found in the fuming sulfuric acid production facility during routine maintenance." Production has currently been suspended, and repair work has begun. It is not clear when the plant will be able to resume production.

On November 5, Kaisheng New Materials stated on the interactive platform that its PEKK products have already been applied in various fields such as additive manufacturing, spraying, and military aerospace. Meanwhile, the company is closely tracking the development trends of lightweight special materials in the fields of electronic information, rehabilitation medical devices, and robotics, and is actively expanding its domestic and international markets.

Tesla's sales in the European market continue to be sluggish, with significant declines in several major countries this year. Sweden saw the most severe drop, with only 133 new cars registered last month, a staggering 89% year-on-year decrease. Sales in Norway and the Netherlands have roughly halved, while Spain's sales have also fallen by nearly a third. This trend has persisted for several quarters, reflecting the severe challenges Tesla is facing in the European market.
