World’s First! This Flame Retardant Product Successfully Completes European Union (EU) REACH Certification

Recently, the diisobutyl aluminum phosphinate product independently developed by Hebei Xinxinyuan Energy Co., Ltd. completed the EU REACH certification, becoming the world's first manufacturer to obtain access to the EU market for this product. This also means that the product meets international top standards in terms of performance indicators, safety regulations, and environmental friendliness.

According to information, REACH is a regulation by the EU for the preventive management of all chemicals entering its market. Under the EU REACH regulation, companies are required to submit a registration to the European Chemicals Agency for any chemical substance produced or imported in quantities exceeding 1 ton per year within the EU. Otherwise, the company will not be allowed to continue producing, importing, or selling that chemical within the EU.

Aluminum diisobutyl phosphinate is a type of phosphorus-based flame retardant with characteristics such as high efficiency, non-toxicity, anti-dripping, and smoke suppression. It requires a small amount to be effective and aligns with the development trend of flame retardants. It has significant potential and room for growth in China.

Hebei Xinxinyuan Energy Co., Ltd. has spent eight years developing diisobutyl aluminum hypophosphite products, continuously conducting performance improvement experiments, and repeatedly carrying out product application experiments according to the needs of downstream customers to enhance product performance. Meanwhile, based on product characteristics, the company has researched and developed various flame retardant compound formulations for different materials, with more than 10 types of application formulations currently available. The existing formulations have obtained two invention patents, and several other patents are under application.
