To actively respond to China "Dual Carbon" goals and the green transition strategy requirements for the shipping industry.Veolia China and Shanghai International Port Group Energy (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.VENEX Co., Ltd. has officially signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Green Fuel Supply."Join hands to create a comprehensive green methanol supply and distribution network, and jointly build a full-process green fuel supply ecosystem from production to refueling.
According to the agreement, the three parties will rely on Veolia's expertise in local decarbonization energy solutions and its global decarbonization experience, as well as the Shanghai International Port Group's leading advantages in port energy infrastructure.VENEX's expertise in the production and operation of green methanol will be combined to create a comprehensive green methanol supply and distribution network, building an end-to-end green fuel supply ecosystem from production to marine bunkering.
Through the collaborative development of the green methanol industry chain, this cooperation will provide sustainable fuel solutions for port and shipping enterprises, gradually reducing the industry's reliance on traditional fossil fuels, promoting a deep transition towards low-carbon development in the port and shipping industry, and assisting in forming a green and low-carbon industrial ecosystem in the transportation sector.
