UBTECH Secures 250 Million Yuan Humanoid Robot Order
On September 3, UBTECH announced that it had secured a 250 million RMB procurement contract for embodied intelligent humanoid robot products and solutions from a well-known domestic enterprise. The contract mainly involves the humanoid robot Walker S2, and UBTECH will begin fulfilling the contract within this year. Reportedly, this is the largest procurement contract in the global humanoid robot sector to date.
The UBTECH Walker S2 was officially released in July this year. As the company's new generation industrial humanoid robot, Walker S2 is equipped with a hot-swappable autonomous battery replacement system. This technology enables Walker S2 to operate continuously 24/7, while reducing labor maintenance costs and improving overall production efficiency.

Specifically, this hot-swappable autonomous battery replacement system achieves simultaneous charging and discharging of dual batteries and seamless battery switching through real-time power monitoring and dynamic energy balancing technology. Standardized battery modules and zero-clearance compartment structures enable batteries to be quickly and freely replaced as energy components. Based on precise body positioning and compliant control algorithms, accurate alignment between the battery and the compartment is realized. In practical applications, the robot can autonomously choose between battery replacement or charging according to task priority, thereby achieving dynamic energy management.
In addition to Walker S2, UBTECH has also launched several products in the humanoid robot field, including the full-sized research and education humanoid robot "Tian Gong Xing Zhe," the industrial humanoid robot Walker S1, and the commercial humanoid robot Walker C. Since its release on March 12, the "Tian Gong Xing Zhe" has received orders for over a hundred units. According to UBTECH's previous estimates, the delivery volume of the "Tian Gong Xing Zhe" humanoid robot in the education and research field alone will exceed 300 units this year.
According to reports, Tiangong Walker has a humanoid height of 172 cm, features a highly bionic torso structure and human-like motion control capabilities, and is equipped with the "Huisikaiwu" general embodied intelligence platform developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center. Depending on customer needs, Tiangong Walker has been developed in three versions: basic, standard, and premium. Currently, over 60% of existing orders are for the standard and premium versions.
Overall, according to publicly available data, up to now, UBTECH's Walker series humanoid robots have secured nearly 400 million yuan in contracts, with close to 50 million yuan worth of humanoid robot orders delivered in the first half of the year. UBTECH expects to deliver 500 industrial humanoid robots within 2025, with an annual humanoid robot production capacity expected to exceed 1,000 units.
