Turkey Makes Final Anti-Dumping Ruling on Polypropylene (PP) Films Involving China
According to the China Trade Remedies Information Network, on July 23, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2025/19, making an affirmative final determination of anti-dumping on biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP film) originating from China, Egypt, and Russia. It decided to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved based on the cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) price. The duties are set at 51.70% for Chinese company Suqian Gettel Plastic Industry Co., Ltd., 16.76% for Zhejiang Fulai New Materials Co., Ltd., 62.94% for other Chinese companies, 12.85% to 42.62% for Egypt, and 47.14% for Russia. The Turkish tariff code for the products involved is 3920.20.21.00.19. The measures take effect from the date of the announcement and are valid for five years.
On February 1, 2024, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation on polypropylene film originating from China, Egypt, and Russia.
