On September 15, 2025, the European Commission announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on PET Spunbond nonwoven fabrics originating from China, following a request submitted by EU companies Freudenberg Performance Materials and Johns Manville on August 8, 2025. The involved products are classified under EU Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes (ex)5603 13 90, 5603 14 20, and (ex)5603 14 80 (TARIC codes 5603 13 90 70 and 5603 14 80 70). The dumping investigation period is from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, and the injury investigation period spans from January 1, 2022, to the end of the dumping investigation period. The preliminary determination in this case is expected to be made within 7 months, but no later than 8 months.
