On September 24th, it was learned by Gasgoo Auto that the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee signed an investment agreement with Tianjin Pengling Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianjin Pengling"). Tianjin Pengling will lease a factory from the Wuhan Economic Development Investment Group Asset Company to build a fluid pipeline production base with an annual capacity of 300,000 units. The project is expected to start production in the second quarter of next year, and once fully operational, the annual revenue is expected to exceed 150 million yuan.

Tianjin Pengling is a leading enterprise in the domestic automotive fluid pipeline industry, specializing in automotive rubber pipelines, plastic pipelines, and assembly modules for over 30 years. It supplies more than 50 automobile manufacturers, including FAW-Volkswagen, BYD, NIO, and XPeng. This move to Wuhan marks Tianjin Pengling's fifth major production base in China after Tianjin, Taizhou in Jiangsu, Chengdu, and Xi'an, and it is its first strategic foothold in the central region.

Currently, the Economic and Technological Development Zone is accelerating the construction of a full industry chain for, centered around the positioning of "China's Car Valley." It has gathered nine vehicle manufacturers, including Dongfeng Honda, Xpeng Motors, and Lotus, as well as over 1,200 parts suppliers, with an annual production of over one million vehicles. The joining of Tianjin Pengling will fill the local gap in high-end fluid pipeline systems and further enhance the resilience of the supply chain.

Sun Qijun, the head of Tianjin Pengling's Wuhan factory, pointed out that.The Wuhan production base is Tianjin Pengling's first establishment in Central China, primarily providing localized support for vehicle manufacturers such as Lantu Auto within the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone.

He stated, "The Wuhan Economic Development Zone has gathered 10 automobile manufacturers, with an average of one new 'Car Valley' vehicle rolling off the production line each month, and the production of new energy vehicles is rapidly increasing. The group will take the Wuhan base as the core support to create a comprehensive R&D and manufacturing hub that radiates Central China, connects nationwide, and faces the global market."

Industry insiders analyze that as the penetration rate of new energy vehicles continues to rise, the value of thermal management systems per vehicle has increased by about three times compared to traditional fuel vehicles. Research institutions predict that by 2027, the market size of new energy thermal management in China is expected to exceed 90 billion yuan. Tianjin Pengling has, and is expected to leverage local vehicle production capacity for accelerated release, achieving a dual-driven growth of orders and production capacity, further consolidating its leading position in the industry.
