Spy Photos of Dongfeng Nissan's All-New SUV, Possibly Named N8, Exposed During Road Testing
Recently, Car Quality Network obtained a set of spy photos of a brand-new SUV test vehicle from Dongfeng Nissan. The new car may be equipped with a new energy system and is expected to continue using the N series naming convention. Combined with previous trademark registration information, the new vehicle may be named Nissan N8.
Based on the spy photos exposed this time, the front design of the new car aligns with the style of Dongfeng Nissan N6, featuring a closed grille, a through-type light strip, and "L" shaped light clusters. The front bumper is equipped with a trapezoidal air intake grille, giving it the substantial feel typical of an SUV. Additionally, the new car's roof is equipped with LiDAR, and it is expected to be equipped with the same level or even higher-level driving assistance system as the Nissan N7.
The sides of the car feature hidden door handles, frameless doors, and low-drag wheels, which are common configurations for new energy SUVs at this stage. The rear of the car has a full overall design, with narrow tail light clusters that include circular elements. Due to the camouflage, it is currently impossible to determine whether a through-type design will be used. The top of the rear is equipped with a high-mounted brake light and a rear spoiler, enhancing the sporty feel.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a new energy power system. In the 398th batch of the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Dongfeng Nissan N6 equipped with a plug-in hybrid system has already made its debut. Its power system consists of a 1.5L four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 75kW and the electric motor providing a total power of 155kW. The pure electric cruising range is 130km. This brand-new SUV is expected to have similar power specifications to the Nissan N6. For more information about the new car, CheZhiWang will continue to follow and report.
