Siasoc's Epoxy Prepreg Included in NCAMP Database

Syensqo announced that its CYCOM® EP2190 epoxy prepreg has been added to the NCAMP (National Center for Advanced Materials Performance) database. This milestone provides customers with standardized, publicly available qualification data packages, reducing the barrier to adoption and accelerating the timeline for aerospace programs.

The NCAMP dataset covers unidirectional tape on EP2190 modulus (Teijin IMS65) fiber and woven fabric on standard modulus (Syensqo Thornel® T650) fiber. With the release of NCAMP, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and tier-one suppliers can access not only material property data but also comprehensive qualification reports, statistical analyses, material specifications, and process specifications. This complete set of documentation significantly reduces the time and cost of adopting new aerospace programs.

CYCOM® EP2190 is a high-performance thermoset material designed for demanding primary structures. It offers enhanced toughness while maintaining excellent compression performance—a balance that is crucial for commercial aerospace, defense, and AAM (Advanced Air Mobility) applications.

In recent years, Syensqo has further expanded its EP2190 product range, moving beyond its core UD tapes and fabric forms to include AFP carbon tapes, S2 glass tapes, and the necessary complementary glass fabrics. These expanded products provide engineers with greater versatility in primary and secondary structures.

CYCOM® EP2190 is currently produced at Syensqo's facility in Wrexham, UK, with plans to expand production to North America as demand increases.
