1. 3/31: The U.S. indicated that it does not rule out the option of military action against Iran, raising market concerns over potential supply risks and driving up international oil prices. NYMEX crude oil futures for May delivery rose by $2.12 to $71.48 per barrel, up 3.06% month-on-month; ICE Brent crude futures for May delivery increased by $1.11 to $74.74 per barrel, up 1.51% month-on-month. China's INE crude oil futures main contract for May fell by 4.3 to 537.4 yuan per barrel, while the night session saw a rise of 16.5 to 553.9 yuan per barrel.

The domestic polyethylene market saw narrow adjustments the previous day, with a range of 2-9 yuan/ton. Influenced by macroeconomic news, market sentiment was bearish. Traders continued to offer slight discounts to sell their goods, and the overall atmosphere was lackluster.

3. Last week (20250321-0327), the overall operating rate of agricultural film increased by 0.35% compared to the previous period; the operating rate of PE pipes increased by 2.83% compared to the previous period.

Three, Market Outlook

The recycled PE market is showing a stable but slightly weak trend. Although it is still during the peak demand season, the performance of the demand side is average. Downstream manufacturers are cautious in purchasing, mostly meeting their immediate needs, and the market trading atmosphere is quiet. In terms of supply, there is a relatively sufficient supply of recycled materials, but affected by the price fluctuations of new materials, the price advantage of recycled PE has diminished. Some manufacturers are broadening their negotiation ranges to promote sales, and actual transaction negotiations are the main focus.
