2 Spot Overview

Today's domestic PC market is consolidating at a low level with a narrow range. By the afternoon close, the mainstream negotiation prices for low-end East China injection-grade materials were referenced at 10,050-13,500 RMB/ton, while mid-to-high-end materials were negotiated at 14,200-15,300 RMB/ton, with the overall price level roughly stable compared to yesterday. Domestic PC manufacturers have not released any new ex-factory price adjustments, and a certain PC factory in Shandong has reserved sales. From the spot market perspective, price declines in East China and South China have temporarily eased, mainly consolidating at low levels. The fundamentals remain unchanged, and low prices are insufficient to boost market sentiment. Holders maintain active following operations, while downstream rigid demand purchases are insufficient, resulting in a lukewarm transaction atmosphere.

3 Production Dynamics

Today, the operating capacity utilization rate of domestic PC factories in the industry is 81.27%; the price of raw material bisphenol A in the East China market dropped by 75 yuan/ton to 7,550 yuan/ton. The gross profit level of the domestic PC industry increased by 67.5 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day, standing at -545 yuan/ton.

4 Price Prediction

Based on the continued decline and price concessions of upstream raw material bisphenol A, the overall cost pressure in the PC industry is limited. In the short term, production companies find it difficult to actively reduce production and supply, resulting in ample availability of goods. Meanwhile, there is no expectation of improvement in downstream demand, making spot trading difficult to pick up and market sentiment remains under pressure. It is expected that the market will continue to maintain a weak downward trend in the medium to short term.
