2 Spot Overview

The domestic PC market in China today operated within a narrow high-level range. By the afternoon close, the mainstream negotiation reference for low-end injection molding grades in East China was 10,400-13,400 yuan/ton, while mid-to-high-end grades were discussed at 14,050-14,800 yuan/ton. The overall focus remained stable, with individual domestic products in short supply supporting a continued rise in focus. After the holiday, domestic PC factories maintained firm pricing, with a PC factory in Henan raising prices by 200 yuan/ton. From the perspective of the spot market, East and South China remained stable and cautious, with recent market increases being significant, yet the downstream follow-up showed no improvement. However, considering the ongoing support from supply, industry participants maintained a cautious and moderate mindset, with offers remaining stable and transactions following market conditions. The trading atmosphere during the day was quiet.

3 Production Dynamics

Today, the capacity utilization rate of domestic PC factories is at 80.92%. The price of raw material bisphenol A in the East China market has dropped by 25 yuan/ton to 7775 yuan/ton. The domestic PC industry's gross profit level has increased by 122.5 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day, resulting in -97.5 yuan/ton.

4 Price Forecast

Recently, the PC market has experienced a significant increase, but there has been no substantial improvement in downstream demand. Some industries have adopted a wait-and-see approach after making essential purchases, leading to a noticeable slowdown in market activity. However, considering the maintenance of major PC factories, the supply side remains supportive, and operators are not actively lowering prices, choosing instead to stabilize and follow market trends. Overall, it is expected that the domestic PC market will undergo narrow fluctuations in the short term to digest the price increases, with attention on further changes in market activity.

Bisphenol A Market: Using the East China region as a benchmark, today's East China bisphenol A closed at 7,775 yuan/ton, within the range of 7,750-7,800 yuan/ton, down 25 yuan/ton from the previous trading day, in line with morning expectations. Today's East China market is mainly weak; although some production enterprises listed prices at 8,000 yuan/ton in the morning, it has been difficult to boost market sentiment.
