1 Today's Summary

①、 Sinopec's settlement price for high-end caprolactam in August 2025 is 9,330 yuan/ton (liquid premium grade with six-month acceptance for self-pickup), an increase of 270 yuan/ton compared to the settlement price in July.

②、 Sinopec has reduced the price of pure benzene at various refineries in East China and South China by 150 yuan/ton, setting the new price at 6,000 yuan/ton, effective from August 27.

2 Spot Overview

Today, the polyamide 6 market is consolidating. The raw material market is also steady, and polymerization enterprises are maintaining stable quotations. Downstream buyers are mainly making occasional purchases to replenish inventories at lower prices according to their immediate needs. Demand is limited, and market transactions are being negotiated. In East China, the regular spinning grade PA6 is quoted at 9,200-9,600 RMB/ton for cash with short-distance delivery, while high-speed spinning spot goods are quoted at 9,800-10,000 RMB/ton with acceptance and delivery. In Chaohu, the cash self-pickup price is 8,550-8,650 RMB/ton.

From a cost perspective, the caprolactam market is consolidating, with chip profit losses and cost pressures still present; from a supply and demand perspective, domestic operating rates have decreased, reducing supply, but downstream demand is likely limited as buyers replenish selectively based on needs. It is expected that the PA6 market will undergo slight consolidation in the near term.

①、 Caprolactam Market: Today's East China Caprolactam price 8750 yuan/ton acceptance delivery, some offers slightly higher, but downstream buyers are cautious, and high prices currently lack follow-up buying interest.

②、 Nylon Filament Market: The market price of nylon POY 85D/24 in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Fujian regions is 11,500-12,500 yuan/ton, with some offers slightly higher. Driven by costs, it is difficult for enterprises to close deals at high offer levels. Transactions for nylon filament are mainly based on just-in-time needs, and the industry is operating with slim profits.
