1 Today’s Summary

In July 2025, Sinopec's settlement price for high-end caprolactam is 9,060 yuan/ton (liquid premium grade, six-month acceptance, self-pickup), down 660 yuan/ton compared to the settlement price in June.

②、 Sinopec's East China and South China refineries have increased the price of pure benzene by 100 yuan/ton, setting it at 6050 yuan/ton, effective from July 29.

Today, the polyamide 6 market is operating steadily. The raw material market is running firm, with losses in chip profits and continued cost pressure. The aggregate enterprises maintain firm quotations, but downstream buyers are cautious, resulting in moderate market transactions. In East China, regular PA6 for standard spinning is priced at 9,350-9,750 RMB/ton cash with short delivery, and high-speed spinning spot goods are priced at 9,800-10,200 RMB/ton on acceptance with delivery. Chaohu offers 8,700-8,800 RMB/ton cash for self-pickup.

2 The profit for conventional spinning of polyamide-6 chips is -225 yuan/ton, and the profit for high-speed spinning is -180.25 yuan/ton.

4 Price prediction

From a cost perspective,Caprolactam priceThe market may remain firm, but cost pressures on chips persist. From the perspective of supply and demand, there are plans for new domestic production capacity to be launched, and some facilities are scheduled for maintenance, which may slightly reduce supply. However, downstream buyers remain cautious and are only restocking as needed. It is expected that the PA6 market will see minor fluctuations and operate in a narrow range in the near term.
