O'right's rPET from its Indonesia factory receives FDA No Objection Letter.
On March 19, 2025, ALBA Tridi Plastics Recycling Indonesia (hereinafter referred to as ALBA Tridi), a factory of the Euro Green Group in Asia, officially received a No Objection Letter (NOL) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), confirming that its recycling process meets the relevant standards for recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) intended for food contact use.
ALBA Tridi is located in Kendal, Central Java, Indonesia, and is the first food-grade recycled plastic factory in the region. Leveraging advanced recycling processes developed by Euro Green in Europe and Asia, along with a local team of excellent technicians, the factory is equipped with world-class equipment including BoReTech washing lines, TOMRA sorting machines, and Starlinger extruders and SSP systems, with an annual production capacity of 24,000 tons of rPET flakes and 12,000 tons of food-grade rPET pellets.
Lü Jiaqing, Chief Operating Officer of the Asia Plastic Recycling Business at the European Recycling Group, stated: "We are very honored to have officially received the No Objection Letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This authoritative certification fully demonstrates the exceptional quality of the rPET flakes we produce and reflects our expertise in advanced recycling technology and excellent operational management. We are committed to continuously producing high-standard recycled plastic products in the industry and working with the industry to create a zero-waste world."
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) certification of No Objection Letter (NOL) is valid in the United States and regions under FDA jurisdiction, holding authoritative and widespread influence in the field of food plastic packaging. Globally, countries and regions such as the European Union and Japan have also implemented relevant regulations for recycled plastics intended for food contact. As one of the largest economies in Southeast Asia, Indonesia has shown a proactive legislative stance by encouraging enterprises to use recycled plastics and strengthening the regulation of food contact materials, thereby promoting the development of the country's sustainable strategic goals.
