Modern Dispersions To Launch PFS-Free Black Masterbatch at K Show
Global thermoplastic compound and concentrate supplier Modern Dispersions Inc. will announce the launch of new masterbatch solutions to enhance material performance at the upcoming K 2025 exhibition (Hall 5/C06-01) to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, from October 8 to 15.
At the K Show, MDI will announce that it now offers PFAS-free black masterbatches as an alternative to standard fluoropolymer processing aids containing masterbatches. The new PFAS-free black masterbatches are targeted at the film, wire and cable, and irrigation tape markets.

The scope of application covers automobiles, packaging, electronics, etc.
The company has also launched a new black masterbatch grade named GM-540-7UVS. This new grade complies with the industry GM13 standard for geomembranes. It is a 40% carbon black polyolefin masterbatch containing a specific additive package designed to protect geomembranes from long-term high temperature and UV exposure.
For the coloring of nylon, MDI also offers its NY-40NG grade, which is a 40% black pigment masterbatch. The masterbatch has a deep, rich black color and minimal impact on the physical properties of nylon compounds. The primary target applications include automotive and electronics. All new masterbatch solutions are now available on the market.
Modern Dispersions will also showcase its extensive product portfolio, including black masterbatches, wood polymer composites (WPC), and color concentrates. The company has decades of experience in producing a variety of black masterbatches, concentrates, and compounds, which feature excellent UV protection, FDA compliance, high jetness, bluish undertone, high loading, low tinting strength, and customizability.
Color concentrates and color compound products are designed to meet market demands and end-use requirements. Their functions include improving batch-to-batch consistency as well as dispersing organic and inorganic pigments for film-grade applications. The company possesses extensive expertise in color and formulation, enabling it to provide consistent products for the automotive, construction, packaging, film, molded parts, and engineering plastics industries. These materials are used in the manufacture of products such as agricultural films, electrostatic dissipative housings for electronic packaging, mobile phones, fabrics, and household goods.
