Central European SENIA 2025-07-23 15:53:14

Chinese auto parts manufacturer Minth Holdings Limited plans to further invest in Serbia over the next five years by constructing two new industrial plants in the southern city of Leskovac and the central city of Ćuprija, with a total investment of 950 million euros. To advance this project, Serbian Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović and representatives of Minth Holdings signed two memorandums of cooperation, officially initiating the project.

According to the announcement by the Ministry of Economy, this round of investment is expected to create approximately 2,800 new jobs, with the Leskovac factory adding 1,000 positions and the Ćuprija factory adding 1,800 positions, further promoting the industrial upgrade and local economic development in Serbia. In his official Instagram statement, Mesarović pointed out: "Since entering Serbia in 2018, Minth Group has operated steadily and developed rapidly, already having production bases in the western cities of Loznica and Šabac, employing over 3,500 people, and is an international force in Serbia's manufacturing industry that cannot be ignored."

This signing continues Minth Group's expansion momentum in Serbia. Earlier this year, the government approved Minth's plan to build an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in the northern city of Inđija, with an expected investment of 870 million euros and the creation of 2,200 jobs in the future. Currently, the local city council has initiated the detailed planning of the "Serbia Advanced Mobility Center" project to provide policy and spatial support for the construction of the plant.

Minth Group, established in 1992, is a global leading manufacturer of automotive exterior and structural parts, serving over 70 mainstream automobile brands worldwide, including Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Nissan, and Fiat. According to its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, Minth is the world's largest supplier of power battery housings and body structural components. It operates 77 factories and offices in 14 countries, with more than 25,000 employees. In 2024, its operating revenue reached RMB 23.15 billion (approximately EUR 2.8 billion), with a net profit of RMB 2.38 billion.

In Serbia, Minth currently operates through six wholly-owned subsidiaries, covering multiple fields including light metal casting, automotive parts manufacturing, aluminum material processing, new energy engineering consulting, and photovoltaic module production. According to the 2024 financial report, the combined operating revenue of Minth's Serbian subsidiaries is approximately 5.42 billion dinars (about 461 million euros), with a net profit of 520 million dinars.

As the automotive industry accelerates its transformation towards intelligence and electrification, MINTH Group’s continued expansion in Serbia not only demonstrates its capability for global strategic deployment but also injects new momentum into Serbia’s manufacturing sector, further consolidating the country’s position as a center for automobile manufacturing and exports in Central and Eastern Europe.
