Lianyungang New Polyolefin Project Announcement!

On October 23, the second public announcement of the environmental impact assessment for the first phase (stage one) of Yapei Olefins (Lianyungang) New Material Technology Co., Ltd.'s ten-thousand-ton annual polyolefin and alkylaromatic project was made.

Project Name: Abbott Polyolefin (Lianyungang) New Material Technology Co., Ltd. Annual Production of Ten Thousand Tons Polyolefins and Alkyl Aromatics Project (Phase I, Stage One)

Project Overview: The project covers a total area of approximately 206 acres and primarily involves the construction of production facilities for polyolefins and alkyl aromatics with an annual capacity of ten thousand tons, along with supporting public utilities. The project is implemented in three phases: Phase 1 involves the construction of a 36,000 tons/year poly-alpha-olefin unit and a 20,000 tons/year alkyl naphthalene unit; Phase 2 involves the construction of a 72,000 tons/year poly-alpha-olefin unit and a 40,000 tons/year alkyl naphthalene unit; Phase 3 involves the construction of a 144,000 tons/year poly-alpha-olefin unit and an 80,000 tons/year alkyl naphthalene unit.

One phase of the project involves constructing a 36,000 tons/year poly alpha-olefin unit in two stages.Upon completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 36,000 tons of polyalphaolefins and 5,200 tons of mixed alkanes; the second phase will build a 20,000 tons/year alkyl naphthalene unit, resulting in an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of alkyl naphthalene. The scope of this evaluation is for the first phase.
