Henan steadily advances 100% coverage of electric vehicle charging facilities in counties and townships
The Electric Vehicle Resource has learned from the recent issuance of the "Interim Measures for the Construction, Operation, and Management of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure in Henan Province" (referred to as the "Measures") by the General Office of the Henan Provincial Government, that Henan has established the construction principles of "provincial-level deployment, three-level application, and multi-network integration." The province will continuously carry out pilot projects to address shortcomings in county-level charging and swapping facilities and steadily promote the full coverage of charging stations in every county and charging piles in every township.
Electric vehicle resources believe that the implementation of the "Measures" has pressed the "accelerator" for the construction of the electric vehicle charging network across Henan Province.

On one hand, the Measures provide a detailed classification of charging facility construction for different scenarios: residential areas primarily use slow charging, supplemented by fast charging; highway service areas and public parking lots primarily use fast charging; while rural areas in counties and townships adopt a combination of fast and slow charging. On the other hand, Henan will reasonably predict charging demand based on data such as traffic flow, population density, and the number of electric vehicles, continuously carry out pilot projects to address shortfalls in charging and battery swap facilities in counties, and steadily promote "full coverage of charging stations in every county" and "full coverage of charging piles in every township."
According to data disclosed on the official website of the Ministry of Transport, the highway service areas in Henan Province have now achieved full coverage of charging infrastructure. As of May, a total of 3,304 charging piles and 3,923 charging spaces have been constructed across 183 pairs of operational highway service areas. Among these, there are 368 supercharging piles covering 47 key service areas on major highways such as the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau and Lianhuo highways. The maximum charging power per pile can reach up to 600 kilowatts. On this basis, Henan plans to further optimize the layout of charging infrastructure in highway service areas, with a focus on enhancing charging support during peak periods such as holidays, to provide more convenient and efficient charging services for new energy vehicle owners.
