Recently, GuangxiThe methanol-to-olefins (MTO) integrated project of Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. has made significant progress—the core equipment, the MTO reactor, has successfully completed the overall hoisting, marking the entry of this chemical project, with a total investment of over 10 billion yuan, into the equipment installation phase. This hoisting not only set a new record for the construction of similar devices in China but also achieved three major technical breakthroughs in the equipment manufacturing field, providing a new paradigm for the technological upgrade of the methanol-to-olefins industry.

Unlike traditional vertical reactors, the horizontal assembly process used in this project is a pioneering innovation in the industry. Technicians have successfully integrated the cyclone separation system with the reactor shell in the factory, achieving pre-assembly with millimeter-level precision. This process allows for the disassembly of a massive structure weighing over 200 tons into smaller components, ensuring equipment precision while reducing on-site construction risks. According to the project's chief engineer, this "building block" style of modular construction technology shortens on-site installation time by 40% and reduces high-altitude work by 60%, creating a new model for the construction of large chemical facilities.

It is worth noting that this project is simultaneously equipped with carbon capture and utilization devices, which convert carbon dioxide generated during the production process into high value-added chemicals, forming a closed-loop circular economy. This development model, which deeply integrates technological innovation with green transformation, provides a demonstration sample for the transformation and upgrading of the traditional chemical industry.
