Flying Cars to Be Delivered Next Year! He Xiaopeng: In the Future, People Will Live 100 Kilometers Outside City Centers and Arrive Within 10 Minutes
On September 25th, according to Fast Technology, today XPeng Motors CEO He Xiaopeng publicly stated that XPeng Motors has been developing flying cars for 12 years. By 2026, XPeng Motors will achieve mass production and begin delivery of the world's first "car + airplane" combination foldable flying car.
He Xiaopeng also pointed out that flying cars are like cars entering China 30 years ago; in the early 1990s, there were very few roads in China. People thought cars were unsafe, expensive, and refueling was troublesome, only leaders and big enterprises could use them, and individuals could not.
Currently, we believe that flying cars are expensive, troublesome, potentially unsafe, and have limited use cases. However, the world will undergo significant changes in 30 years.
"Today, our first flying car can only fly a few dozen kilometers, but the purely small aircraft we are working on, which is not coupled with cars, can fly hundreds of kilometers. I believe that in 10-30 years, people will be able to live 100 kilometers away from the city center and reach it within 10 minutes, safely, quickly, and unmanned. Therefore, low-altitude flight will bring significant changes to life within and between cities or surrounding areas."
