Enjie Co., Ltd. Unveils Next-Generation Flame-Retardant Separator for Lithium Batteries
Recently, at the 2025 North American Battery Show in Detroit, Enjie Co., Ltd. showcased its leading lithium battery separator products and the latest technological research and development achievements. In response to the industry's widespread concerns about lithium battery safety, it made a significant announcement regarding the release of its latest research and development outcome: a new generation of flame-retardant separator products.
The product absorbs heat through flame-retardant materials and decomposes to produce flame-retardant gases, preventing the separator from burning under open flame. It also significantly reduces the coating surface density by more than 40% (compared to aluminum oxide ceramic coatings), effectively enhancing the energy density of the battery cell. Additionally, it reduces moisture by over 20%, further extending the battery's lifespan.

Enjie Co., Ltd. fully showcased its product matrix covering the entire technological route of lithium battery materials, including four major separator product series: high safety series, fast charging series, long lifespan series, and high capacity series, as well as solid-state products representing cutting-edge industry technology, helping Chinese high-quality separator technology products shine on the international stage.
Of particular note is the previously released 5μm ultra-thin high-strength base film, which also made an appearance at the exhibition. This product breaks through the technical bottleneck of "thin equals fragile," with a puncture strength exceeding 560gf, achieving a perfect balance in safety performance, energy density, and fast charging capabilities. It has attracted high attention from the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, with a constant stream of customers and professional visitors coming to the booth for consultations and discussions.
In addition, in the face of generational upgrades in lithium battery technology, Enjie Co., Ltd. focuses on "technological innovation" as its core and has proactively laid out its presence in the field of key materials for solid-state batteries. Currently, the pilot production line for sulfide solid electrolytes with a capacity of tens of tons has been fully integrated, achieving a full-chain "vertical integration innovation" from core raw materials to finished electrolyte membranes and completing a horizontal layout from mass production processes to cutting-edge technologies.
