Draft Proposal for Mandatory Standards on Assisted Driving Released for Public Comments
On September 17, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially solicited public opinions on the mandatory national standard "Safety Requirements for Intelligent and Connected Vehicles Combined Driving Assistance Systems."

The formulation of this standard fills the gap in the safety baseline for the combination driving assistance system (L2 level automatic driving assistance) in our country, providing key technical support for industry access, quality supervision, and accident tracing. It will comprehensively enhance the safety level of intelligent connected vehicle products and establish a solid technical defense for the safety of people's lives and property. Experts point out that this move marks a critical transition for China's intelligent connected vehicle industry from "technical frenzy" to "safety foundation," and will promote the industry into a new phase of standardized development.
