BYD's R&D personnel surpass Huawei for the first time, doubling in 3 years!
Kuai Technology News, March 31st: Recently, both BYD and Huawei have released their latest financial reports for 2024, revealing the number of R&D personnel at both companies.
According to BYD's 2024 Sustainability Report, the total number of its R&D personnel has reached 122,000.Compared to the previous year, it has increased by 18.24%, highlighting the company's significant investment and continuous expansion in the field of research and development.
At the same time,Huawei's data as of December 31, 2024, shows that the number of its R&D employees is approximately 113,000.This means that BYD has surpassed Huawei in the number of R&D personnel for the first time.
In recent years, BYD's research and development personnel have surged. In 2021, there were about 40,000 R&D staff, which increased to nearly 70,000 in 2022, surpassed 100,000 in 2023, and this year has exceeded 120,000, a twofold increase in three years!
In contrast, Huawei's number of R&D personnel has remained relatively stable, consistently around 110,000 in recent years, demonstrating Huawei's steady strategy and sustained investment in R&D.
