August MIIT New Car Releases: XPeng Embraces Range Extender, All-New AITO M7, and Zeekr 9X Unveiled
Xpeng X9 Extended Range Edition
At the end of last year, Xiaopeng announced its entry into the extended-range market, and its "Kunpeng" extended-range technology will finally be implemented on the X9.
In terms of power, the XPeng X9 extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5T range extender from Dong'an Power, with a maximum power of 110 kW, and features a single-motor layout.
According to the Weibo post by He Xiaopeng, the XPeng X9 extended-range test vehicle is adorned with stickers labeled "450" and "1500". It is personally estimated that the new car's pure electric range could reach 450km, with a combined range of 1500km.
AITO M7
The all-new AITO M7, built on a brand-new platform, has finally adopted the new design language of the AITO family, with an overall appearance that closely resembles its “big brothers,” the M8 and M9.
The new car has been further enlarged in size, with the length increased by 60mm and the wheelbase extended by 210mm. The "space utilization rate" is expected to deliver a very impressive performance.
In addition, the all-new AITO M7 is expected to be equipped with the ADS4 assisted driving system, and the official sources have previously confirmed that the new model will also offer a version equipped with rear-facing LiDAR.
Looking up at U9
This month, Yangwang U9 has filed a new ultra-high power version with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The new car largely maintains the exterior design of the current model, adopting the "Time Gate" family design language of the Yangwang brand, with a strong sense of technology.
The new car mainly features an upgraded four-motor powertrain, with each motor having a maximum power of 555kW, bringing the total vehicle power to an impressive 2220kW, which is more than double the current 960kW.
Zeekr 9X
The Zeekr 9X, dubbed the "Hangzhou Bay Cullinan" by netizens, officially landed on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's website this month. According to the official announcement, the new car will officially start pre-sales at the end of this month.
The Zeekr 9X is built on the Haohan-S architecture. Compared to existing mainstream hybrid platforms, it boasts three major advantages: a full-domain 900V high-voltage platform, high-performance fast charging and electric drive efficiency comparable to pure electric vehicles, and a three-motor system.
In addition, the Zeekr 009 is very generous with hardware in other areas as well, such as the 48V active stabilizer bar, dual-valve CCD electromagnetic dampers, closed dual-chamber air suspension, and the Qianli Haohan H9 driver assistance system with dual Thor chips.
Lantu Chasing Light L
According to CEO Lu Fang of Voyah, the Zhuiguang L will be Voyah’s “flagship ace.”
The all-new Voyah Zhuiguang L is significantly larger in size compared to the current Zhuiguang, and it also offers a two-tone color option. The overall design strongly emphasizes a sense of luxury.
At the same time, the Zhuiguang L is also equipped with LiDAR, and the "ADS" badge at the rear clearly indicates that it will adopt Huawei's assisted driving system. With this, all four models of Lantu have now fully "embraced" Huawei.
It is also worth mentioning that the new car is equipped with a 63 kWh battery, which is larger than that of many pure electric vehicles. It offers an electric-only range of up to 327 km, which is even sufficient for most people’s weekly use.
Deep Blue L06
The Shenlan L06 features the brand's new design language, adopting the all-new "petal light" front grille, and also offers an electric rear spoiler, giving it a very youthful and sporty appearance.
At the same time, intelligent configuration is also a major highlight of the Deep Blue L06. The new car will come standard with a LiDAR system across all models and offer Deep Blue’s self-developed driver assistance system as well as Huawei Qian Kun system options.
According to Deep Blue CEO Deng Chenghao, the new car will also be equipped with the world’s first 3-nanometer automotive-grade cockpit chip, making its intelligent cockpit performance equally worth looking forward to.
Nissan N6
After the Nissan N7 received a good market response, the Nissan N6 is also coming.
Overall, the new car basically maintains the same family-style design as the Nissan N7. However, unlike the purely electric N7, the N6 currently announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is a plug-in hybrid model.
In terms of body dimensions, the N6 is overall slightly smaller than the N7, closely comparable to the BYD Qin L, but its wheelbase is slightly longer.
Notably, the N6 is equipped with a class-leading 21.1 kWh battery, and its pure electric range and overall energy consumption performance are expected to be more advantageous than those of vehicles in the same class.
Geely Galaxy Xingyao 8 Pure Electric Version
The Xingyao 8, which was launched in May this year and adopted a cost-effectiveness strategy, has achieved sales of over 10,000 units last month. Now, its pure electric version has also officially appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The body dimensions of the Xingyao 8 pure electric version are basically consistent with those of the plug-in hybrid version, and both support optional configurations such as lidar and rear wings. However, considering the industry tradition that pure electric vehicles are more expensive than plug-in hybrids, the new car may be priced higher than the current plug-in hybrid version.
If you are interested in the Xingyao 8 and primarily use it for urban commuting, you might want to consider the pure electric version of the Xingyao 8.
