ALBA Indonesia's food-grade recycled PET recovery process receives no objection letter from the US FDA

Recently, Alba Tridi Plastics Recycling Indonesia (PT Alba Tridi Plastics Recycling) officially received a No Objection Letter (NOL) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), confirming that its recycling process complies with the standards for food contact applications of recycled PET.
In June 2023, ALBA Group announced the commencement of the construction of its PET bottle recycling plant in the Kendal Industrial Park, Central Java, Indonesia. As a leading food-grade recycled plastic facility in the region, the production line has now successfully started operations. For this project, BOTTLE-TO-BOTTLE tailored the development and design of a PET bottle recycling and cleaning system with a processing capacity of 7 tons per hour. Utilizing mature process technology, the configuration ensures that the final recycled PET meets the quality requirements for downstream food-grade packaging. This is currently the largest single-line PET bottle recycling and cleaning production line designed by BOTTLE-TO-BOTTLE for a client in Indonesia. The project was previously reported.
The first food-grade recycled PET project of ALBA in Asia is the ALBA Longyi factory in Jiangxi, and its production line has also received a no-objection letter from the US FDA.
