Dreame Selects Germany for Automotive and Major Appliance Manufacturing Facility
36 Kr has learned that ZhuiMi Technology's founder and CEO, Yu Hao, along with his team, went to Germany to select a factory site for ZhuiMi's automotive and major appliance business. It is understood that ZhuiMi Automobile will cooperate with BNP Paribas of France to jointly build a factory in Germany, located near Tesla's Berlin super factory. Toyota Tsusho Acquires 25% Stake in LG Chem's Gumi Cathode Material Plant
LG Chem has announced in a press release that Toyota Tsusho Corporation of Japan has acquired a 25% stake in its Gumi cathode material plant (LG-HY BCM), becoming the plant’s second-largest shareholder. Toyota Tsusho, a general trading company within the Toyota Group, is the core company responsible for raw material procurement for Toyota Motor Corporation. With the addition of Toyota Tsusho, the shareholding structure of LG Chem’s Gumi cathode material plant is now: LG Chem 51%, Toyota Tsusho 25%, and Toyota Cobalt’s share has decreased from 49% to 24%. This enables Toyota Tsusho to meet the newly established PFE standards, thereby complying with IRA regulations. Accordingly, Toyota Tsusho plans to supply cathode materials produced at the Gumi plant to battery customers in North America.

Swiss Post Suspends Parcel Delivery to the US
Starting from August 26, Swiss Post will suspend the acceptance of postal items destined for the United States, except for express mail (including official documents and certificates) and express courier items. Swiss Post stated that, as the United States will suspend the duty-free treatment for imported parcels valued at $800 or less starting from August 29, all goods shipped to the United States must be transported with duties already paid.
