PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as plastic king, F4, or Teflon. It is made from suspension polytetrafluoroethylene resin through compression molding, which can be made into sheets, turned films, and pipes. It can be pressed and extruded. It can be mixed with graphite and other materials to produce sheets, rods, gaskets, ropes, and raw tape.
Characteristics: It has a very wide temperature range (from -200 degrees Celsius to +260 degrees Celsius).
It is basically resistant to all chemical substances except for some fluorides and alkaline metal liquids.
It has excellent mechanical properties, including aging resistance, especially for bending and swinging applications.
It has outstanding flame retardancy (meets ASTM-D635 and D470 test procedures, classified as a flame-retardant material in air.
It has excellent insulation properties (regardless of frequency and temperature)
It has extremely low water absorption, as well as a series of unique properties such as self-lubrication and non-stickiness.
Applications: Seals/ gaskets, rings, wear plates/ insulating parts, corrosion-resistant industries, mechanical components, linings, oil and gas, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, instrument equipment manufacturers, etc.
