PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as the king of plastics, F4, or Teflon. It is produced by molding suspension polytetrafluoroethylene resin, which can be made into sheets, turned films, and pipes. It can be compressed and extruded. It can be blended with graphite and other materials to create plates, rods, gaskets, ropes, and sealing tape.
Characteristics: It has a very wide temperature range (from -200 degrees Celsius to +260 degrees Celsius).
It is basically resistant to all chemical substances except for some fluorides and alkaline metal liquids.
It has excellent mechanical properties, including aging resistance, especially for applications involving bending and oscillation.
It has outstanding flame retardancy (complies with ASTM-D635 and D470 testing procedures, classified as a flame-retardant material in air.
It has excellent insulation properties (regardless of frequency and temperature)
It has an extremely low water absorption rate and possesses a series of unique properties such as self-lubrication and non-stick characteristics.
Applications: Seals/ gaskets, rings, wear plates/ electrical insulators, insulating parts, corrosion-resistant industries, mechanical components, liners, petroleum and natural gas, petrochemicals, chemical industries, instrument equipment manufacturers, etc.
