PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as plastic king, F4, or Teflon. It is made from suspension polymerized tetrafluoroethylene resin through compression molding, which can be made into sheets, turned films, and pipes. It can also be pressed and extruded. It can be mixed with graphite and other materials to create plates, rods, gaskets, ropes, and packing tape.
Characteristics: Extremely wide temperature range (from -200 degrees Celsius to +260 degrees Celsius).
Basically resistant to all chemicals except for some fluorides and alkaline metal liquids.
Excellent mechanical properties including aging resistance, especially for bending and swinging applications.
Outstanding flame retardancy (complies with ASTM-D635 and D470 testing procedures, categorized as flame-retardant materials in air.
Excellent insulation properties (regardless of frequency and temperature)
Extremely low water absorption rate, and possesses a series of unique properties such as self-lubrication and non-stickiness.
Applications: Seals/ gaskets, rings, wear-resistant plates/ electrical insulation parts, corrosive-resistant industries, mechanical components, linings, oil and gas, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, instrument and equipment manufacturers, etc.
