PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as plastic king, F4, or Teflon. It is made from suspension polymerized polytetrafluoroethylene resin through compression molding, which can be formed into sheets, turned films, and pipes. It can be pressed and extruded. It can be mixed with graphite and other materials to make sheets, rods, packing, ropes, and raw material tape.
Characteristics: It has a very wide operating temperature range (from -200 degrees Celsius to +260 degrees Celsius).
Basically resistant to all chemical substances except for certain fluorides and liquid alkali metals.
Excellent mechanical properties, including aging resistance, especially for bending and oscillating applications.
Outstanding flame retardancy (compliant with ASTM-D635 and D470 testing procedures, classified as flame-retardant material in air.
Excellent insulation properties (regardless of frequency and temperature)
Extremely low water absorption rate, and possesses a series of unique properties such as self-lubrication and non-stickiness.
Applications: Seals/gaskets, ring materials, wear plates/ seats, insulating parts, anti-corrosion industries, mechanical components, linings, petroleum and natural gas, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, instrument equipment manufacturers, etc.
