PTFE high-temperature fabric, Teflon high-temperature fabric, and polytetrafluoroethylene high-temperature fabric are high-performance, multi-purpose composite material products made from suspension polytetrafluoroethylene (commonly known as the "plastic king") emulsion, impregnated into high-performance fiberglass cloth.
Features of Teflon high-temperature fabric:
The high-temperature fabric can be used in a temperature range from low temperatures of -196℃ to high temperatures of 300℃, exhibiting weather resistance and anti-aging properties. In practical applications, for example, when placed at 250℃ for 200 consecutive days, its strength remains unchanged, and its weight does not decrease; when placed at 350℃ for 120 hours, its weight decreases by only about 0.6%; under ultra-low temperatures of -180℃, it does not crack and maintains its original flexibility. It has non-stick properties: it is difficult for any substances to adhere to it. It is easy to clean various oil stains, dirt, or other attachments on its surface; almost all adhesive substances like glue, resin, and paint can be easily removed; it is resistant to chemical corrosion, capable of withstanding strong acids, strong bases, aqua regia, and various organic solvents. The friction coefficient is low (0.05-0.1), making it an ideal choice for self-lubrication without oil. The light transmittance reaches 6-13%. It has high insulation performance (dielectric constant is low: 2.6, and the tangent is below 0.0025), and it is UV resistant and anti-static. It has good dimensional stability (elongation coefficient is less than 5‰) and high strength. It exhibits good mechanical properties. It is resistant to reagents and non-toxic, capable of withstanding almost all chemical agents.
Main Applications
Fiberglass coatingPTFE products are widely used in various fields such as aviation, papermaking, food, environmental protection, dyeing and printing, clothing, chemical industry, glass, pharmaceuticals, electronics, insulation, construction (membrane structure base fabric), grinding wheel cutting, and machinery due to their excellent properties. They can be used for corrosion-resistant coatings, linings and pads, non-stick conveyor belts, high-frequency copper-clad boards, construction membrane materials, insulation materials, microwave drying conveyor belts, flexible compensators, friction materials, and as heating food gaskets, baking sheets, microwave gaskets, and microwave drying belts. They are also used in the plastic and rubber industries for anti-stick liners, gaskets, covers, and in carpet applications. Depending on the thickness, they are suitable for various drying machines' conveyor belts, such as for drying medicinal herbs, tea, food, and chemical agents, bonding belts, sealing belts, etc. They are used for anti-corrosion wrapping of various petrochemical pipelines, insulation and temperature-resistant wrapping materials for electrical appliances, and environmental desulfurization of power plant exhaust.
