PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) is a crystalline (crystallinity 55%-65%) high rigidity white powder polymer with excellent heat resistance (continuous service temperature up to 240℃), mechanical strength, rigidity, flame retardancy, chemical resistance, electrical properties, and dimensional stability. It also has excellent wear resistance, creep resistance, and flame retardant properties. It is self-extinguishing, achieving UL94V-0 level. It maintains good electrical performance even under high temperatures and high humidity. It has good fluidity, is easy to mold, and has almost no shrinkage cavities during molding. It has good compatibility with various inorganic fillers. Its development has narrowed the gap between standard thermoplastic materials (such as PA, POM, PET, etc.) and engineering plastics.
Characteristics: The maximum allowable operating temperature in air is very high (can operate continuously at 220°C, short-term up to 260°C), maintaining high mechanical strength, rigidity, and hardness in high-temperature environments. It has superior chemical corrosion and hydrolysis resistance (there are currently no solvents that can dissolve polyphenylene sulfide below 200°C, and it has extremely strong resistance to inorganic acids, bases, and salts). It exhibits excellent wear and friction resistance, very good dimensional stability, resistance to high-energy radiation, good UV resistance, inherent flame retardancy, and excellent electrical insulation properties.
