German imported PAI (Polyamide-imide)
1. Product Introduction:
TLON PAI (Polyamide-imide), English name: polyamide, is a new type of engineering plastic containing amide groups. Due to the highly stable complex ring structure in the polyimide molecule, it exhibits heat resistance and low-temperature resistance that other polymer materials cannot match, with mechanical properties and dimensional stability under high-temperature environments.
● TLON 4203 PAI (brownish-yellow): Density: 1.41 g/cm³, is a type of toughness and impact strength among PAIs. Due to its inherent high-temperature resistance, good dimensional stability, and excellent machinability, TLON 4203 PAI is commonly used in the manufacture of precision parts for high-tech equipment. Moreover, its excellent electrical insulation properties allow for widespread application in electrical components.
● TLON 4301 PAI (black): Density: 1.45 g/cm³, filled with PTFE and graphite, shows better wear resistance and lower friction coefficient compared to unfilled ones. TLON 4301 PAI also demonstrates dimensional stability over a wide temperature range. This grade of material is often used in engineering applications with extremely high wear resistance requirements, such as non-lubricated bearings, seals, bearing isolation rings, and parts for reciprocating compressors.
● TLON 5530 PAI (black): Density: 1.61 g/cm³. Enhanced with 30% glass fiber reinforcement. Compared to TLON 4203 PAI, it shows better rigidity, higher strength, and improved toughness. It is very suitable for manufacturing structural components. Under high temperatures, it can support fixed loads for extended periods. Additionally, due to the dimensional stability of TLON 5530 PAI at 250℃, it is widely used for making precision parts, such as in the electronics and semiconductor industries. When using TLON 5530 PAI as sliding parts, its compatibility should be carefully checked, as glass fibers can scratch surfaces.
2. Main Characteristics:
High working temperature allowed in the air, good dimensional stability within the temperature range of 250℃, wear and friction performance, outstanding UV resistance, superior resistance to high-energy radiation, inherent low flammability. High strength, high insulation, radiation resistance, self-lubricating, low thermal expansion coefficient.
3. Application Fields:
PAI is commonly used in the manufacture of precision parts for high-tech equipment, as well as in applications with extremely high wear resistance requirements, electronics, and the semiconductor industry. It is used in products that operate under high temperature, high vacuum, strong radiation, and ultra-low temperature conditions, such as aerospace, aviation, and oil drilling equipment.
4. Processing Tips:
● TLON PAI has the disadvantage of being easily damaged by various chemicals. Steam will also rapidly degrade the performance of this material. When working at high temperatures with particularly high chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance requirements, PEEK may be an ideal material.
● Due to the relatively high moisture absorption of TLON PAI, if parts are working at high temperatures or require high machining precision, they should be dried before installation. If damp parts are quickly subjected to environments above 200℃, thermal shock deformation may occur.
