Impact resistance: The impact strength of polycarbonate (PC) sheets can reach up to 3kg/cm. The impact strength of PC sheets is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 20-30 times that of acrylic sheets, and twice that of tempered glass, with almost no risk of breakage. Dropping a 3kg hammer from two meters does not result in cracks, hence the name "shatterproof glass" and "sound steel."

Light transmittance: Light transmission rate reaches 85-91%, with transparency comparable to glass. It does not yellow, fog, or lose light transmission under sunlight exposure. After ten years, the light transmission loss of UV-coated sheets is only 6%, while that of PVC can be as high as 15-20%, and fiberglass 12-20%.

Weather resistance: The surface has a co-extruded layer that prevents yellowing of the resin due to UV rays from sunlight. The co-extruded layer has chemical bonds that absorb UV rays and convert them into visible light, providing good stability for plant photosynthesis. It guarantees no fading outdoors for ten years. It maintains stability in physical properties within the temperature range of -40℃ to 130℃. In artificial climate aging tests for 4000 hours, the yellowing degree is 2, and the reduction in light transmittance is only 0.6%.

Flame resistance: Polycarbonate sheets are not self-igniting and have self-extinguishing properties. They comply with EU ROHS directives and stringent UL safety standards, with UL94 fire ratings reaching V0, V2, and HB levels. The ignition point of PC sheets is 580 degrees Celsius, and they self-extinguish when removed from fire, producing no toxic gases and not promoting fire spread.

Heat resistance and cold resistance: They do not deform or suffer quality degradation within the temperature range of -40℃ to +130℃. PC sheets do not become brittle at -100℃ and do not soften at 137.3℃, showing no significant changes in mechanical properties under harsh conditions.

Lightweight and hardness: Lightweight, only half the weight of glass and one-third that of acrylic sheets, with good adaptability and safety, making it easy to transport, drill, and cut. It is not easily broken during installation and is simple and safe to work with.

Flexibility: Can be cold-bent on-site according to design drawings into arch shapes, semi-circular tops, and windows. The minimum bending radius is 175 times the sheet thickness; it can also be hot-bent.

Sound insulation: PC sheets provide significant sound insulation, better than glass and acrylic sheets of equal thickness. Under the same thickness conditions, the sound insulation of PC sheets is improved by 3-4 dB compared to glass. It is internationally used as a material for highway sound barriers.

Energy efficiency: Keeps cool in summer and warm in winter, PC sheets have lower thermal conductivity (K value) than ordinary glass and other plastics, with insulation effectiveness 7%-25% higher than equivalent glass, and 49% higher insulation overall. This greatly reduces heat loss, making it an environmentally friendly material for buildings with heating equipment.

Condensation prevention: When the outdoor temperature is 0℃ and the indoor temperature is 23℃, with indoor relative humidity below 80%, there is no condensation on the inner surface of the material.
