PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as plastic king, F4, or Teflon. It is produced from suspension polytetrafluoroethylene resin through compression molding, which can be made into sheets, turned films, and pipes. It can be pressed and extruded. It can be mixed with graphite and other materials to make sheets, rods, gaskets, ropes, and PTFE tape.
Characteristics: It has a very wide operating temperature range (from -200 degrees Celsius to +260 degrees Celsius).
Basically resistant to all chemical substances except for some fluorides and alkaline metal liquids.
Excellent mechanical properties, including aging resistance, especially for applications involving bending and swinging.
Outstanding flame retardancy (complies with ASTM-D635 and D470 test procedures, classified as a flame-retardant material in air.
Excellent insulation properties (regardless of frequency and temperature)
Extremely low water absorption, along with a range of unique properties such as self-lubrication and non-stickiness.
Applications: Seals / gaskets, rings, wear plates/ electrical insulation components, corrosion-resistant industries, mechanical parts, linings, petroleum and natural gas, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, instrument and equipment manufacturers, etc.
