German imported PAI (Polyamide Imide)
1. Product Introduction:
TLON PAI (Polyamide Imide), English name: Polyamide Imide, is a new type of engineering plastic containing amide groups. Due to the highly stable complex ring structure in the polyimide molecule, it exhibits unparalleled thermal resistance and low-temperature resistance compared to other polymer materials, maintaining mechanical and dimensional stability in high-temperature environments.
● TLON 4203 PAI (Brown): Density: 1.41 g/cm³, is a type of toughness and impact strength among PAIs. Its inherent high-temperature resistance, good dimensional stability, and excellent machinability make TLON 4203 PAI commonly used in the production of precision parts for high-tech equipment. Additionally, its good electrical insulation properties allow for widespread application in electrical components.
● TLON 4301 PAI (Black): Density: 1.45 g/cm³, filled with PTFE and graphite, shows better wear resistance and lower friction coefficient compared to unfilled types. TLON 4301 PAI also exhibits dimensional stability over a wide temperature range. This grade of material is often used in engineering applications with extremely high wear resistance requirements, such as non-lubricated bearings, seals, bearing isolation rings, and reciprocating compressor parts.
● TLON 5530 PAI (Black): Density: 1.61 g/cm³. Contains 30% glass fiber reinforcement. Compared to TLON 4203 PAI, it demonstrates better rigidity, greater strength, and improved toughness. It is very suitable for manufacturing structural components. It can support fixed loads for extended periods under high temperatures. Moreover, due to the dimensional stability of TLON 5530 PAI at 250℃, it is widely used for making precision parts, such as in the electronics and semiconductor industries. When using TLON 5530 PAI for sliding parts, its compatibility should be carefully checked, as glass fibers may scratch surfaces.
2. Main Characteristics:
Allows high working temperatures in air, with good dimensional stability in the range of 250℃. Exhibits excellent wear and friction properties, outstanding UV resistance, superior radiation resistance, and inherent low flammability. High strength, high insulation, radiation resistance, self-lubrication, and low thermal expansion coefficient.
3. Application Fields:
PAI is commonly used in the production of precision parts for high-tech equipment and in applications with extremely high wear resistance requirements, as well as in the electronics and semiconductor industries. It is suitable for use in products that operate under high temperatures, high vacuum, strong radiation, and ultra-low temperature conditions, such as aerospace, aviation, and oil drilling equipment.
4. Processing Tips:
● TLON PAI is highly susceptible to various chemical damage. Steam will rapidly degrade the performance of this type of material. When high temperature performance is required along with specific chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance, PEEK may be an ideal material.
● Due to the relatively high moisture absorption of TLON PAI, if parts are to operate at high temperatures or require high machining precision, they should be dried before installation. If the parts are damp and quickly operate in an environment above 200℃, thermal shock deformation may occur.
