PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), commonly known as plastic king, F4, or Teflon. It is made from suspension polytetrafluoroethylene resin through molding and can be produced into sheets, turned film, and pipes. It can be pressed and extruded. It can be mixed with graphite and other materials to create sheets, rods, gaskets, ropes, and sealing tape.
Characteristics: It has a very wide operating temperature range (from -200 degrees Celsius to +260 degrees Celsius).
It is basically resistant to all chemicals except for some fluorides and alkaline metal liquids.
It has excellent mechanical properties, including aging resistance, particularly for applications involving bending and swinging.
It has outstanding flame retardancy (compliant with ASTM-D635 and D470 testing procedures, classified as a flame-retardant material in air.
It has excellent insulation properties (regardless of frequency and temperature).
It has an extremely low moisture absorption rate and possesses a series of unique properties such as self-lubrication and non-stickiness.
Applications: Seals /gaskets, rings, wear plates/ seats, insulating parts, corrosion-resistant industries, mechanical components, linings, oil and gas, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, instrument equipment manufacturers, etc.
