Polyethylene polyester waterproof membrane product features:
1.The product is composed of multiple layers of different materials, enhancing its overall performance. The product has an anti-aging layer, which extends its service life to over 50 years.
2.The upper and lower surfaces of the membrane are rough, and the non-woven fabric fibers are arranged in an irregular interlocking structure, forming a three-dimensional mesh. Various adhesives can bond effectively with it.
3.When bonding with cement substrates, cement adhesive can be used. The cement adhesive can penetrate into the mesh of the waterproof membrane's surface, solidifying together with the cement, ensuring a firm bond.
4.The surface of the waterproof layer after construction can be directly decorated (e.g., by pasting tiles, floor tiles, mosaics, etc.).
5.There are no special requirements for the moisture content of the leveling layer, as long as there is no visible water, construction can proceed.
Polyethylene polyester waterproof membrane construction technical points:
(1)The substrate surface (leveling layer) for laying the waterproof membrane must be cleaned and moistened with water.
(2)Prepare a cement-based slurry adhesive with a polyvinyl alcohol solution containing 10% to 15% cement, ensuring uniform mixing without sediment or lumps. It can be used if there is no separation.
(3)Before constructing the main waterproof layer on the roof, sealing and additional layer bonding should be performed on concentrated drainage points and complex structural details, using the same membrane material as the main waterproof layer.
(4)Additional layers should be added at corners; internal and external corners should be rounded with a radius of R=20mm.
(5)The waterproof membrane should be laid using a full adhesion method, with the adhesive applied evenly on the substrate, ensuring no exposure and no accumulation; the adhesive should be applied immediately before laying the membrane to prevent prolonged exposure affecting bonding quality.
(6)The overlap width of the waterproof membrane should not be less than 100mm.
(7)The seams of the upper and lower layers and adjacent sheets of membrane should be staggered by one-third of the width.
(8)Damaged areas of the membrane should be treated with an additional layer, extending 120mm beyond the damaged area. For underground waterproofing, polyurethane adhesive should be used fully, while for roof waterproofing, cement adhesive can be used. For vertical structures, the membrane must be laid vertically, aligned from top to bottom, and compressed from bottom to top, requiring simultaneous application of adhesive while leveling the membrane, with a thickness of approximately 1mm.
