Xiamen Party Secretary Cui Yonghui and Mayor Wu Bin Investigate Zhonglun New Material New Energy Film Material Project

On July 26, Cui Yonghui, member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, and Wu Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Xiamen, led a delegation to investigate the Zhonglun New Material New Energy Membrane Project. Yang Qingjin, Chairman of Zhonglun New Material, received them and reported on the work.

At the project site, Cui Yonghui inquired in detail about the commissioning time, market applications, production capacity, and future plans. He emphasized that the Zhonglun New Material New Energy Film Project aligns with the characteristics of new quality productive forces—namely, “high technology, high efficiency, and high quality.” Currently, the project is at a critical stage, and efforts should be made to commence production as early as possible while ensuring project quality and safety. He expressed his hope that Zhonglun New Material will serve downstream customers with high-quality products and contribute even more to Xiamen’s new materials and new energy industry chains through advanced technological innovation.

Yang Qingjin stated that with the strong support of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, as well as the Haicang District Party Committee and District Government, the new energy membrane material project is progressing smoothly and is about to be put into production. Zhonglun New Materials will strictly control the quality of engineering and products to the highest standards, and make every effort to deliver a satisfactory report card for Xiamen's new materials industry and new energy industry. At the same time, it will continue to be driven by innovation, accelerating the layout of a series of cutting-edge special materials on the basis of expanding and strengthening high-tech membrane materials, contributing more innovative achievements to Xiamen's high-quality development with the strength of Zhonglun.

The Zhonglun New Materials New Energy Membrane Project features a large market potential, broad application fields, and a high level of technical difficulty. The project covers a total area of approximately 134,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 2.5 billion yuan. It includes the construction of a sci-tech innovation building, several world-leading new energy membrane production lines, and related supporting facilities for the research, development, and production of ultra-thin capacitor films and composite current collector base films. Ultra-thin capacitor films are mainly used in new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, energy storage, wind power, and other fields. Composite current collector base films are primarily used in power batteries, energy storage batteries, and consumer batteries. Both products are among the most promising “high-tech, cutting-edge” new energy materials.
