The Huawei Pure 80 series is likely to come with the native HarmonyOS out of the box, and it is expected that the imaging capabilities will be comprehensively upgraded. According to relevant reports, the Huawei Pure 80 series is anticipated to be unveiled in May.

According to the blogger Wisdom Pikachu, the core of the Huawei Pura 80 series will be the upgraded Kirin 9020 chip. This time, the industrial production of the chip has been optimized and upgraded, resulting in better power consumption control performance.

In terms of the screen, the Huawei Pura 80 Standard Edition will feature a 6.6-inch 1.5K flat screen, while the Huawei Pura 80 Pro Edition and Huawei Ultra Edition will come with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K full-depth four-curved screen. The Pura 80 Ultra Edition might also be equipped with a dual-layer OLED screen, which, by stacking two layers of light-emitting units, will significantly enhance the screen's brightness, contrast, and color performance.

According to the content previously released by blogger Digital Chat Station, the Pura 80 Pro is expected to feature a large 1/1.3 inch main camera sensor, while the Pro+ will come with the Sony IMX989, supporting RYYB. The Pura 80 Ultra is likely to be the first device to feature a domestically developed 1-inch main camera sensor. All models in the series will support variable apertures.

According to the content released by Digital Chat Station, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is expected to debut with a domestic 1-inch ultra-large main camera. The periscope macro telephoto lens will adopt a 1/1.3-inch large sensor with a large aperture periscope macro, supporting 3.5x optical zoom with RYYB technology for enhanced light intake. However, this plan has not been finalized yet, and there is an alternative option that might feature a medium-small sensor periscope telephoto lens.

Regarding the Huawei Pura 80 Pro+, the rear camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel IMX989 main camera with a variable aperture, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera that supports telephoto macro. All three lenses will feature a custom RYYB array, although these specifications are still subject to adjustment, and the final version may vary.
