Chemical New Materials 2025-03-25 11:44:05

On March 22nd, the Tianshui Municipal Government signed an investment agreement for a basalt fiber industrial project with Shanghai Gaowei Keju New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Shuhong Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Liu Lijiang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Huang Hechang, Chairman of Shuhong Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Zashi Dondrup, Chairman of Gansu Rundong Zhonghao New Energy Power Technology Co., Ltd., and Ma Junsheng, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, attended the signing ceremony. Vice Mayor Chu Zhezhen, General Manager of Gaowei Keju Co., Ltd. Ying Yuxuan, and Deputy General Manager of Shuhong Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Huang Dechao respectively signed the agreement on behalf of the three parties.

Heads of the two enterprises stated that they will fully leverage the advantages of their companies in terms of finance, technology, talent, and management, innovate collaboration models, establish communication and coupling platforms, and speed up project construction, striving to create excellent projects, and making the xenolith rock new material industry a new driving force for industrial economic development in Tianmu.

Basalt fiber is a continuous fiber drawn from natural basalt. It is a continuous fiber produced by high-speed drawing of basalt rock at 1450℃~1500℃ through a platinum-rhodium alloy wire drawing die after melting. The color of pure natural basalt fiber is generally brown.

Basalt fiber is a new type of inorganic, environmentally friendly, green, and high-performance fiber material composed of oxides such as silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide, iron oxide, and titanium dioxide. Continuous basalt fiber not only has high strength but also possesses various excellent properties such as electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature resistance. Basalt fiber is produced by high-temperature melting of basalt rock and drawing into filaments, resembling natural silicate minerals. It can biodegrade in the environment after disposal and is harmless to the environment. China has listed basalt fiber as one of the four key developing fibers (carbon fiber, aramid, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, and basalt fiber) and has achieved industrial production. Continuous basalt fiber has been widely used in various fields, including fiber-reinforced composite materials, friction materials, shipbuilding materials, insulation materials, the automotive industry, high-temperature filtration fabrics, and protective fields.
