Sissoco Launches New Low-Density High-Performance Polyamide (PA) for Significantly Reducing Weight of Structural Components in Consumer Electronics
Recently, Syensqo, a global leader in advanced materials and specialty chemicals, announced the launch of Kalix® LD-4850 BK000, a new type of low-density high-performance product.Polyamide(HPPA) aims to meet the ever-changing demands of the consumer electronics industry.
Kalix® LD-4850 can help manufacturers achieve significant lightweighting of structural components in devices such as smartphones, AR/VR headsets, and other smart electronic products. Compared to traditional polyamides and polycarbonates used in structural components, this new grade reduces weight by over 30% while maintaining excellent mechanical strength and surface aesthetics.
Kalix® LD-4850 is designed for applications requiring weight reduction, such as internal brackets in electronic products, mid-frames, speaker housings, and AR/VR glasses temples. It combines high stiffness and high strength with minimal warpage and low dielectric properties. This unique balance of characteristics helps in developing thinner, lighter, and more comfortable devices, aligning with current hardware development trends.
