On March 18, the groundbreaking ceremony for the main construction of Phase I of Jiangsu Shuangliang Electronic New Materials Co., Ltd.'s annual 73,000-ton BOPP electronic new materials project was grandly held, marking a crucial step for the Shuangliang Group in the field of electronic new materials.

Miao Zhiqiang, Executive President and Party Secretary of Shuangliang Group, announced the official start of the main construction (Phase I) of the project

It is reported that after the completion of the first phase of the project, it will form an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons of high-temperature resistant and high-strength capacitor film and high-strength composite current collector base film, as well as 70,000 tons of functional BOPP film. After the entire project reaches full production, the capacity will be further increased.

The project focuses on the research and development as well as production of high-temperature resistant, high-strength capacitor films, composite current collector base films, and functional BOPP and BOPE films. The products are widely used in electronic devices, new energy batteries, green packaging, and other fields. This not only helps to break through foreign technological monopolies and solve the "chokepoint" problem of domestic substitution for high-end electronic materials but also provides support for achieving the "dual carbon" goals.

General Manager Guo Huashan of Jiangsu Shuangliang Electronic New Materials Co., Ltd. speaks

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Guo Huashan, General Manager of Jiangsu Shuangliang Electronic New Materials Co., Ltd., stated that the Shuangliang electronic new materials project is a milestone project for the group, based on the national "dual carbon" strategy and seizing opportunities in the new energy industry. It holds an important position in the diversified industrial structure of Shuangliang. This commencement of construction will significantly enhance the company's core competitiveness in the field of electronic new materials, promote the development of high-end manufacturing clusters in the Yangtze River Delta region, and inject new momentum into the transformation and upgrading of the regional economy.

In recent years, the new energy industry has developed rapidly. It is estimated that by 2025, the market size of capacitor films in the new energy sector will be on par with that of traditional sectors. Shuangliang Group has long been widely involved in areas such as photovoltaics and energy storage. The commencement of this BOPP electronic materials project is a significant investment for the group to follow the trend of the times. It is expected to leverage its own advantages and continue to make efforts in the development and application of new materials.
