Shandong, bio-based nylon project, 300 million yuan!
Shandong Shouguang Jinyu Corn Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Annual 10,000 tons of new bio-nylon 5X material project completion environmental protection acceptance announcement.

This project is a new 10,000 tons per year bio-nylon 5X new material project constructed by Shouguang Golden Corn Biotechnology Co., Ltd., with both the designed production scale and the acceptance scale being 10,000 tons per year. The actual total investment of the project is 300 million yuan, of which 750,000 yuan is invested in environmental protection, accounting for 0.25% of the total investment. The construction content of this phase mainly includes the fermentation tank equipment of the lysine decarboxylase fermentation system, as well as the supporting conversion, purification, drying, and packaging full-process production units, forming a complete bio-based nylon 5X material production line.
Nylon 56 salt (chemically known as 1,5-pentanediamine adipate) serves as a key synthetic monomer for the polyamide material nylon 56, and its production technology is significantly innovative. Differing from traditional nylon products (such as nylon 6, nylon 66, etc.) that rely on petroleum-based raw materials, this project uses biotechnology to convert lysine into the core component 1,5-pentanediamine, achieving a renewable substitution of raw materials. According to the scientific achievement appraisal by Shandong Shouguang Juna Golden Corn Co., Ltd., the self-developed lysine decarboxylase bacterial strain catalytic system of the company enables a raw material conversion rate of over 98%, shortens the reaction cycle to within 5 hours, and achieves zero lysine residue throughout the process. The production process integrates nanofiltration membrane separation, ceramic membrane fine filtration, and continuous crystallization technology, innovatively developing an integrated nylon 56 salt preparation system, which enhances product purity while reducing energy consumption by more than 30%.
Shouguang Golden Corn Biotechnology, as a technology-oriented subsidiary of Shouguang Juneng Golden Corn Group (registered in 2017), focuses on the research and development and manufacturing of bio-based materials. It holds the qualifications for the entire corn deep-processing industry chain. Its product matrix includes more than twenty types of products such as starch derivatives, food additives, biological enzyme preparations, and new biomass materials. It processes over one million tons of corn raw materials annually, demonstrating significant advantages in the bioeconomy industry.
