2 Spot Market Overview

By the afternoon closing, mainstream negotiations for low-end injection molding grade in East China referenced prices of 10,150-13,700 yuan/ton, while mid-to-high-end materials were negotiated at 14,500-15,300 yuan/ton. Some domestic prices dropped by 50 yuan/ton compared to yesterday. With increasing cost pressures, domestic PC factories are maintaining stable operations, while the spot market continues to see slight declines in some areas. The industry continues to face supply and demand pressures, with low prices struggling to boost market sentiment. Holders are maintaining sales operations according to market conditions, downstream demand is slow to follow, and trading atmosphere remains sluggish.

3 Production Dynamics

Today, the capacity utilization rate of the domestic PC manufacturing industry is at 80.44%; the price of raw material bisphenol A in the East China market remains stable at 8,000 yuan/ton, and the domestic PC industry's gross profit level decreased by 50 yuan/ton compared to the previous working day, to -700 yuan/ton.

4 Price Prediction

Recently, the main raw material bisphenol A has stopped rising and is consolidating, with limited price increases, and this has not yet had a significant transmission to PC prices. Currently, most domestic PC plants are operating steadily, with industry capacity utilization rates maintained above 80%. However, downstream demand is affected by unfavorable factors such as the off-season for consumption, and short-term expectations are unlikely to improve significantly.
