1 Today's Summary

The weekly settlement price for Sinopec caprolactam is 10,280 yuan/ton (six months acceptance interest-free), down 100 yuan/ton from last week.

Sinopec's benzene prices in East China and South China refineries have been raised by 150 yuan/ton to 6,750 yuan/ton, effective from April 1st.

2 Spot Overview

Today, the conventional spinning chips of polyamide 6 have slightly increased. The upstream pure benzene and raw material caprolactam markets are performing well, strengthening the cost support for chips. Downstream production enterprises have entered the market to replenish stocks at lower prices, driving the market trading atmosphere. The trading atmosphere for some chips has improved, with actual orders being negotiated in the market. East China PA6 conventional spinning ordinary 10550-10800 yuan/ton cash short delivery, high-speed spinning spot 11100-11600 yuan/ton acceptance delivered. 3 Production Dynamics

The operating rate of PA6 capacity is 81.08%. Fangming will start maintenance today, which will last for about 20 days. Zhejiang Fytec will gradually shut down for maintenance, which will take about 35 to 45 days. Shanxi Lvbao is currently shut down.

2) The prices of raw materials have slightly increased, the price of regular spun polyamide 6 chips remains stable, with a profit of -50 yuan/ton for regular spun polyamide 6 chips and a profit of 53 yuan/ton for high-speed spun polyamide 6 chips.

4 Price Prediction

From the cost perspective, the raw material caprolactam may face upward pressure due to cost increases, leading to higher polymerization costs. From the supply-demand perspective, Zhejiang Fangyuan and Fangming are undergoing maintenance shutdowns, resulting in reduced supply. Some enterprises are gradually alleviating inventory pressure, with downstream businesses primarily restocking based on demand. It is expected that the nylon 6 market will operate slightly favorably in the near term, with close attention to downstream demand and pricing dynamics from manufacturers.

The industry is operating with minimal profit, and the market is showing signs of softening at the higher end.
