Omnovia New Testing Center Commences Operation

On September 1st of this year, the "Continental Automotive Group" officially began operating independently under the new brand "AUMOVIO". The official WeChat service account "Continental" has also been renamed to "AUMOVIO".

After becoming independent, OMV has announced another significant development. According to the WeChat account "Shanghai Jiading," on September 2nd, OMV's new testing center located in the Jiading Industrial Zone began operations, adding a high-standard automotive testing center to Jiading.

It is reported that the Omowei Test Center covers an area of approximately 12,000 square meters, with a multi-corner professional test track as its core. The proving ground is equipped with internationally advanced testing facilities, including a small dynamic square, simulated low-friction surfaces, and high-low friction split ramps, among other specialized testing areas. It can comprehensively verify vehicle performance in terms of braking, stability, comfort, and more, making it particularly suitable for the development and real-vehicle testing of new energy vehicles and various levels of autonomous driving functions.

The establishment of the testing center will strengthen OMW’s capabilities in localized R&D and validation. Engineers can efficiently complete testing and optimization of brake-by-wire systems, functions related to new energy vehicles, and intelligent driving modules through real road scenarios, thereby shortening the development cycle and accelerating product launch.
