October MIIT New Cars: Major Update for Audi A6L, Xpeng Extended Range Family Debuts
Audi A6L
After the competitors, the 5 Series and E-Class, have successively completed their generational updates, the all-new Audi A6L has finally appeared on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's website.
The new car will be upgraded to the brand-new PPC platform, with further increased dimensions, a wheelbase extended by 42mm, and a length increased by 92mm.
In terms of power, although the official announcement currently only lists a version with a 200kW engine, I personally expect that the new car will offer both high and low power versions of the fifth-generation EA888 engine, similar to the previous A5L, and it may also be available with the quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Audi A6L e-tron
Apart from the fuel version, Audi has also brought us the "electrified" A6L e-tron.
In terms of size, the A6L e-tron is slightly smaller than the gasoline A6L, but thanks to the higher "usable space" provided by the pure electric platform, the actual interior space performance of the two may be comparable.
The new car is built on the PPE platform, equipped with CATL's ternary lithium battery and matched with the quattro all-wheel drive system.
The new car may have a CLTC range of 600-800km, based on its overseas version.
In terms of intelligence, these two A6L models are also expected to offer localized features such as Huawei ADS assisted driving.
Mercedes-Benz CLA 260L
The all-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA recently started pre-sales, with the CLA 300L's pre-sale price range set at 259,000 to 299,000 yuan.
This time, the official has also introduced a more entry-level version, the CLA 260L.
From the perspective of parameters, the motor power of the CLA 260L has been reduced from 200 kW to 165 kW, and it is expected that the battery capacity and range will also decrease.
What price do you think the CLA 260L can set for the pure electric CLA?
Xiangjie S9
The new Xiangjie S9, as an annual facelift, has made a number of adjustments to the details of its appearance.
The focus is primarily on the newly updated brand logo and the "Nebula Through Tail Light Group" similar to that of the Xiangjie S9T. Additionally, the new car offers multiple wheel styles and optional black packages.
In the assisted driving section, the new car has added the missing 4D millimeter-wave radar from the previous generation electric version, as well as solid-state lidar for side and rear views, aligning the hardware specifications with the other models in the HarmonyOS Intelligent Driving 9 series.
The new car is expected to be released by the end of this year alongside other digital products, and its price is anticipated to be on par with the current model.
Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive Long Range Edition
Although we did not wait for the standard versions of the Model 3 and Model Y to be released in the U.S. this month, we did receive the rear-wheel drive long-range version, "Model Y+".
The new car, referencing the rear-wheel-drive long-range version of the Model 3 launched in August, also uses the same 225kW single motor. The battery is a ternary lithium battery provided by LG Energy Solution, which should be the same one used in the all-wheel-drive long-range version.
Although the range data for the single motor long-range version of the Model Y is not yet known, referring to the Model 3 rear-wheel drive long-range version's CLTC range of 830 km, the rear-wheel drive long-range version of the Model Y is expected to reach around 800 km. It should also become the longest-range model in Tesla's SUV lineup.
Xiao Peng Extended Range Family
Following the X9 and G7, the extended-range versions of the Xiaopeng P7+ and G6 have also landed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology this month.
From the parameters, both new cars are equipped with Dong'an Power's 1.5T engine. I personally anticipate that both models will also adopt large battery solutions, as well as the support of an 800V high-voltage architecture and 5C ultra-fast charging.
Currently, the peak power of the electric motor for the P7+ range-extended model is 180 kW, which is on par with entry-level pure electric models and is not particularly impressive.
The G6 extended range version is equipped with the same 218kW single motor configuration as the all-electric version.
It is worth mentioning that Xiaopeng has also submitted applications for the Ultra versions of the P7+, G6, and G9 this month.
The new vehicle is expected to be equipped with three Turing chips, providing an effective computing power of up to 2250 TOPS for the entire vehicle, and it will have the capability to run VLA and VLM large models locally.
Unique07
The car branded as "Golden Badge Volkswagen" is the second model from Volkswagen Anhui, positioned as a mid-size pure electric sedan.
Although both belong to the Volkswagen electric vehicle lineup, the Zhizhong 07 is not directly related to the ID.7, which was previously built by North and South Volkswagen on the MEB platform.
Its body size is slightly smaller than the ID.7, and it is also the first model equipped with Volkswagen's next-generation electronic and electrical architecture specifically designed for the Chinese market.
The smart features and localization of the new car are highly anticipated.
Geely Galaxy Shine 7
Following the Xingyao 6, which was affectionately called "AM Ji" by everyone, the Xingyao 7, adopting the same design language, has also officially appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Compared to the Xingyao 6, the new car is larger in size, with a length approaching the 5-meter mark, giving it a more imposing presence.
However, in terms of power, it is expected to continue using the Thor AI Hybrid 2.0 system, the same as the Xingyao 6, and will be equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine.
Based on the pre-sale price of the Xingyao 6 and the pricing range of the Xingyao 8, it is highly likely that the final price of the Xingyao 7 will fall between 90,000 and 100,000 yuan.
