NxLite Raises $9.2 Million in Series A Funding to Expand Next-Generation Energy-Saving Window Coating Business
October 14, 2025 - NxLite™ announced the completion of a $9.2 million Series A financing to accelerate its next-generation energy control. Deployment and continued enhancement of its Advanced Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) center's capacity.
This financing round is led by Crabtree Lane Alt, LLC, an active financial investor based in Chicago, with follow-on investments from leading manufacturers in the door and window industry as well as venture capital firms such as Earth Foundry, MUUS, New Climate Ventures, and Dutch ACT Venture Partners.
In addition to expanding production capacity to meet the growing market demand for window, door, and transparent surface solutions, NxLite will also use this funding to strengthen its commercial operations in Michigan, accelerate its marketing strategy, and expand strategic partnerships to maintain a leading position in high-growth segments.

Unlike traditional solutions, NxLite™ coating can be applied to both single-pane glass surfaces and multi-pane glass solutions. This technology offers unprecedented design flexibility for various transparent materials such as glass, acrylic (PMMA), polycarbonate (PC), and creates new possibilities for architectural renovation.

A West Virginia-based functional decorative plastics manufacturer, DALB, stated: "The energy control coating substrate of NxLite is impressive, and we have seen significant interest from customers in the vending machine, beverage cooler, automotive, and transportation industries."
According to reports, NxLite™ recently announced the launch of NxLite L80 coating, the industry's first low-emissivity (Low-E) sputter coating, which can be applied to glass, PMMA, and polycarbonate. NxLite L80 features the high visible light transmittance (Tvis) and high fidelity color rendering unique to top-tier silver-based coatings, and it also offers exceptional outdoor stability, making it suitable for surfaces exposed to environmental conditions. Unlike other sputter coatings, NxLite L80 can be used for single-piece applications, thereby eliminating long-standing technical barriers for manufacturers.
NxLite L80 offers exceptional energy efficiency, with superior U-values and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) compared to similar pyrolytic coatings or ITO coatings, thereby achieving better year-round insulation and energy-saving effects. Additionally, NxLite L80 provides outstanding clarity, with the coating exhibiting a neutral, nearly invisible appearance, making it ideal for applications where visual quality is a priority.
